The ECONBAL electronic ballasts maded by SCEI-srl are designed to work in various types of luminaries equipped with tubular fluorescent lamps.
For all power range the electronics of ballast contains circuits with following functions:
      - Filtering against EMI generating ;
      - Active power factor correction and D.C. stabilizer (400 V);
      - Voltage controlled oscillator and driver for MOSFET transistors in Half- bridge configuration;
      - Sequencing of states (lamp filament preheating, ignition and running) by frequency control;
      - Lamp power control (at run frequency);

Fault protection (ballast deactivates) in case of :
      - lamps removal (or absence).
      - lamp fail to ignite .........

 

 

The most important advantages are:
      - at least 25% energy saving versus Classic Control Gear;
      - absence of stroboscopic effect;
      - a greater than 0.99 power factor;
      - a smaller than 5 % total harmonic distortions (THD) of supply current.
